Grazing in August

I never have to mow around my house. For 24 years sheep have groomed my lawn and trimmed around the trees and buildings. This is our small flock of Scottish Blackface sheep after a brief rain shower. They also eat all the leaves that fall off the trees so there is no raking in Autumn.

Now, doesn't that make complete sense?! We just bought 3 Shetland ewes and are set on a wonderful new adventure - a longtime dream come true. Love your posts!

I have one ewe who is part Shetland. I am so glad you are living your dream. I just adore my flock. Sheep are wonderful and there is almost no smell.
